Covenant House Pennsylvania – Rights of Passage II

Full Story:

Last week’s ribbon cutting for our new Rights of Passage II transitional housing program was more than an opening—it was an act of liberation. Standing in that space full of youth, supporters, and neighbors was a reminder of the strong community we are fortunate to have. The day was emotional and unforgettable—especially the moment a young future resident walked into her new apartment for the very first time, smiling through tears. Her joy was a beautiful reminder of why this work matters.

This space is a promise: to show up for youth who need us, providing safety, care, and stability. As Wil Reynolds, Board Member, reminded us, this project represents years of grit, faith, and relentless belief that every young person deserves a safe home and a real chance to thrive.

Special thanks to all donors, board members, staff, volunteers, and partners who made this possible, including The Weiner Family Foundation, Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, Wil Reynolds, Chris Keith, Office of Councilwoman Cindy Bass, and many others.

Together, 12 beautiful apartments now welcome youth taking bold steps toward independence. We will continue to support each resident with care, stability, and resources to heal and build a future. Because when you build more than housing, you build hope.
