Our Mission & Vision

The Weiner Family Foundation was founded on principles of kindness, justice, and care for the vulnerable, inspired by our family’s legacy. Over time, it has evolved into a formal commitment to support causes often overlooked—animal welfare, children’s health, human trafficking recovery, and Judaism.

We focus on making a meaningful impact in Greater Philadelphia and select aligned organizations with a U.S. presence. Our work reflects values of compassion, responsibility, dignity, and hope.

Mission Statement

To profoundly impact lives by supporting organizations that uplift youth, protect animals, and help communities heal from trauma—with a special focus on the Greater Philadelphia region.

Vision Statement

We envision a world where every child is nurtured, every animal is protected, and every survivor of injustice finds the support they need to thrive. Guided by empathy and a belief in shared responsibility, we strive to build stronger, more compassionate communities.

Our Values

  • Compassion

We lead with empathy—supporting those who care for others, especially the most vulnerable among us.

  • Community

We are deeply rooted in the Greater Philadelphia region and believe in the power of local action to create lasting impact.

  • Dignity

Every person deserves safety, respect, and the opportunity to rebuild their life. Our work supports those affected by trafficking, abuse, and neglect.

  • Responsibility

We believe in stewardship—of our resources, of our planet, and of the trust placed in us by our grantees and partners.

  • Hope

We fund with optimism, believing in the potential of people and programs to create meaningful change.

  • Humility

This work is not about us—it's about the people we serve, and the causes we believe in.

Our History

The Weiner Family Foundation began as a quiet effort to give back to the community that shaped us. Over the years, that spirit of generosity evolved into a formal commitment to help where help is most needed—especially in areas too often overlooked.

From our earliest gifts to local animal shelters and youth programs to more recent efforts to combat human trafficking, our work is grounded in values passed down through generations: kindness, justice, and care for the vulnerable.

Though our name is on the door, the focus of our foundation is outward—on the causes, the communities, and the change we’re privileged to support.

What We Fund

The Weiner Family Foundation funds nonprofit organizations, with a focus on:

  • Jewish Causes

Jewish causes are a central pillar of the Weiner Family Foundation’s mission. We support organizations that strengthen Jewish life, promote dignity, and reflect our enduring values of compassion, justice, and collective responsibility.

While we prioritize work rooted in the Greater Philadelphia area, we also support select Israeli organizations with a registered U.S. presence whose missions align with our values and goals.

Our giving in this area is grounded in tradition, guided by impact, and driven by our belief in supporting communities with care and purpose

  • Youth-Based Charities

Supporting children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being—from pediatric healthcare to mentoring and education.

  • Animal Causes

Funding rescue, shelter, advocacy, conservation, and education programs that protect and care for animals.

  • Human Trafficking Recovery & Prevention

Supporting survivors and the organizations that help them heal through housing, trauma-informed care, prevention, and awareness.

We prioritize work rooted in the Greater Philadelphia region but will consider organizations with a strong U.S. presence that align with our mission.
